You Are What You Eat

“You Are What You Eat” is a corny comedy about a couple in the near future dealing with GMOs or genetically modified organisms. STAN returns home from grocery shopping. AMY goes through the shopping bag. Why is Amy suddenly upset with Stan about purchasing GMO corn?

“You Are What You Eat” had its World Premiere at Action On Film International Film Festival in Monrovia, CA on August 25th, 2014.

While living in Las Vegas, NV for 3 and a half years, I dove deeper into nutrition. Every 5 or 6 years, a doctor seems to find something new that’s wrong with my health. It made me do some research and discover a whole world of information through documentaries and activist discussion groups. As I was developing the idea for “You Are What You Eat,” I was involved with and very much inspired by GMO Free Vegas. GMO Free Vegas is a very action-based activist group that leads Las Vegas whenever there’s a March Against Monsanto.  My hope with making this film is that not only does it further my film career along, but helps spread awareness about genetically modified foods or GMOs. The film is a light and fun way to open your eyes to what’s happening in agriculture and the food industry.

The film all of 3 minutes and 50 seconds can be found on the Short Films Page or on You Tube. It is always appreciated if you see the film at a film festival or public screening if given the chance.
